Date: 20–22 January 2026
Location: Helsingør, Denmark

DTO4OWE was presented at the 23rd Danish Marine Science Conference (Dansk Havforskermøde 2026), held in Helsingør, Denmark, from 20 to 22 January 2026.

During the conference, Jun She from the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) chaired a session titled Development of Digital Twin Ocean” and delivered a presentation about the DTO4OWE project. The presentation introduced the project’s approach to co-designing and developing sub-regional Digital Twins of the Ocean (DTOs) to support offshore wind energy planning and management.

In particular, the talk highlighted DMI’s work on developing a Digital Twin of the Ocean for the Baltic–North Sea transition waters, contributing to improved understanding and sustainable development of offshore wind energy in the region.

The conference brought together approximately 450 oceanographers and marine scientists, providing an important platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration within the marine research community.
